Musings from the edge

Well, I have been sufficiently chastised and am going to do an update. Not so much is new so I don't have a lot to say. I got to see the London Knights win the OHL championship and then the next night Marco took me to see Sarah Mclachlan, which was something that I've always wanted to do. I certainly wasn't disappointed either. She is as amazing live as she is on her cds. This weekend we're going to see my favourite band, Blue Rodeo, in Kitchener.
The weather is finally starting to get nicer so my lunches are usually spent in Harris Park in the sun. Joanna, Ryan and baby-to-be are going to take over my apartment so I'm in the market for a new one. I think a one bedroom this time, just big enough for me and Leroy. There are a couple that I'm looking at; one is right near White Oaks mall, so the shopoholic in me says "take that one, take that one", but it's really small and would take some getting used to... It's probably not really that small, but I've never lived in a one bedroom before. I'm just torn between near the mall or downtown, near work. I think near the mall cause there's not a lot of places to go grocery shopping downtown. Rachel leaves in 4 weels so the countdown has begun. Making sure that she has everything before she leaves is the goal. I think we're almost there. Joanna is having an ultrasound on Friday so I will finally get to see if I'm right and it's twins. Twins run on both sides of our family and in Ryan's family as well. I just think that for a first child she is too big too soon. I was thinking 2 girls just like her, but then thought 2 girls, one just like her and one just like Rachel. Let's see how Joanna does... lol welcome to my world! Marco has been working in the recruitment area of work. It's nice for him cause it's what he's educated to do and it gives him weekends off. He's not sure how long it will last, but the experience looks good on a resume. Canadian Idol is back on and tonight it's the tryouts from London so I have to watch and see if I know anyone. Work is work.. I still love the job but have to say that this weather makes it tough to go to work anywhere, no matter how much you like your job. I think that's it for now... anyone who has baby furniture or clothes that they want to get rid of, I know a very appreciative mother to be... Oh, congrats to Mindy and Mark on the birth of little Sinclair. and congrats to Ahlam for finally finding the man who meets all her standards. Guess you were right to hold out for Mr. Right! I wish all of you the best in years ahead. That's it for now.. see ya later kids. |
