Well, it’s been a really long time since I posted. I don’t think that even I realized just how long until someone complained.

What can I say, that’s what happens when you live in the world of overtime and twelve hour days. So, what’s new in my life? Not much. Lots new in everyone else’s though. I have come to realize that the old adage “change is good” is really true. There’s something liberating about letting go of something old, whether it be an old job or an old lifestyle and transitioning into something new and unknown.

Congratulations to Rebecca on her new job, I and everyone else know that it will be a huge success. No one worked harder to fight for the little people’s rights than she, although she ran into many walls, and for that we salute you.

Congratulations to Marco on his new condo. Moving out and becoming a home owner all at the same time can be a stressful time, but some people are able to jump right into the deep end of the pool. I think that you will surprise yourself at how well you really can swim.

On the homeowners front, I hope I am not being premature on congratulating the Gorman brothers on the purchase of “Grandma’s house”. Word of advice, make sure Grandma’s really dead, she may be in the attic…..

Congratulations to the new Mrs. Hassenstein. I wish only the best for you. And I have to say, the matching tattoos were a sweet idea, but no, Joanna, I still don’t want you to get one. (Like I really have any say in the matter, I just don’t want it to be said later that I never expressed my opinion)

Ms. Plarina, I love your idea of teaching, I think you would make an awesome teacher and I would have been proud to have my children taught by you. I saw a saying for you the other day – “When life tosses you lemons, pick them up and fire them and some of your own right back”.

What’s new with my adopted daughter? Well new brake pads and junk for her baby Echo. I know it’s expensive to maintain a car my dear but you know what they say, “If it’s got tires or testicles, it’s going to be trouble” (and expensive)

I have been reading other blogs and because they have all mentioned the new shifts, I will put in my two cents worth too. I can’t complain about my shift, it was my first choice. I don’t mind where I sit, I really like all the people around me. I understand the conflicting feelings of the other team that has been interspersed with ours. I know that when we are expected to go on the phones, we hate it so I can only imagine what it must feel like to be on the phones all the time and have to sit with a team where the only headsets are walkmans. There are a lot of those people who wanted to participate in the lateral workgroup movement and were turned down because they were already in a special team environment, so it’s kind of like a slap in the face when they are then expected to sit with the team that they wanted to join. I think, like us, it’s not always personal with new team members. Sometimes you’re just mad at the situation, not the people involved. Just remember, you can only control how you handle the situation.

Friday’s going to be a busy day. I’m going to get my hair cut, then I meeting Becca for lunch and then I’M GOING TO THE WESTERN FAIR!!!! Oh yeah, somewhere in there I have to get groceries. Oh well, fair food is groceries, isn’t it? Anyway, I have to do my housework today, and I was supposed to go to the mall with Marco to get some stuff, but sleepyhead hasn’t called yet so I guess I really could have gotten started on the housework but I felt the need to type cause that’s not something that I do everyday!

Oh, yeah, Leroy says hi. He’s been supervising this whole time….

Anyway, I really should be doing something productive, so talk to you later kids…..
